Drawn from a Renaissance Grimoire of Magic, this poweful talisman calls good spirits to help you in your magical workings and life.
Many spiritual and magical traditions tell us that there are both good and bad spirits all around us that we can call on to aid our magickal workings and improve our lives. This sigil is said to draw the help of good spirits to you to aid you when called.
The sigil is from a 1686 edition of the Arbatel (the Arbatel de Magia Veterum, a Latin Grimoire of Renaissance Ceremonial Magic originally published in 1575). The five (note the central one) are Ioviel, Gabriel, Oriel, Pomiel, and Saturiel. The first and last could be based on the Roman god-names, suffixed with the angelic "-iel"; Agrippa has Saturniel and Ioviel as angels of the corresponding planets, along with similar names for the others and for the signs of the Zodiac. Pomiel is said by Trithemius to be the third angel of Saturn.
Sterling silver pendant is 1 5/8 inches tall including the bail, about 1 inches in height without the bail. Etched on one side with the Seal of Solomon wih raised lettering.

Sterling silver is an alloy of silver containing 92.5% by mass of pure silver and 7.5% by mass of other metals, usually copper. Sterling silver is hypo-allergenic though a few people may have reactions depending on their individual body chemistry.
With regular ware, sterling silver does not tarnish, however if not worn for a period of time, the copper or other metals can tarnish or blacken. A polishing cloth is the simplest way to clean and polish your sterling silver. |
